11-17-20 Pocahontas County Commission Meeting Agenda
The Pocahontas County Commission will hold its regular meeting starting at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 17th at its office in the courthouse in Marlinton with the following agenda,
They will begin the meeting by approving any exoneration orders and approving the minutes of their previous meeting, followed by the opportunity for the public to comment to the commissioners at 5:35 p.m.
At 5:45 p.m., they will open and award bids for the courthouse and jail heating oil contract for November 18, 2020 through October 31, 2021.
At 5:50, the commissioners will hear from Tabatha Mann of the Sheriff Department’s Tax Office and will discuss and consider acting on a Hotel Occupancy Tax letter received.
At 6:00, the commissioners will hear from Jason Bauserman regarding the preservation of the East Fork Industrial Park Office Building, formerly used as a tannery.
At 6:15, the commissioners will receive the annual update of Parks and Recreation.
At 6:30. Amanda Smarr of the Region 4 Planning and Development Council will discuss a draw request from the Broadband Study Grant.
At 6:35, the commissioners will hear from John Tuggle, also from the Region 4 Planning and Development Council, who will provide an update on the status of the county’s Broadband Grant.
At 6:45, the commission will officially certify the November 3rd General election results.
At 7:00, they will hear from Rita Griffith, the Day Report Director, and will consider approving their 2021 grant application.
The Commissioners will also take up the following items which are not assigned a specific time on the agenda.
- They will discuss and consider approving final Settlements and Orders
- The commissioners will be briefed on mail items and concerns received since their last meeting, and, after discussion, consider taking any appropriate actions on these.
- They will consider approving a lease agreement with the WV Division of Forestry
- The Commissioners will then approve invoices prior to adjourning the meeting.
