Pocahontas County Board of Education Meeting Agenda for December 17, 2019
The Pocahontas County Board of Education will hold its regular meeting on Tuesday, December 17th at the Hillsboro Elementary School.
The Local School Improvement Council Meeting will begin at 3:30 p.m., which will include an opportunity for the school’s staff to address their concerns and ideas with the Board Members. This will be immediately followed by the regular Board of Education meeting.
After normal opening procedures, which include approval of the minutes from the December 3rd Board of Education meeting and of the agenda for this meeting, the Board will entertain any public delegations.
The School Superintendent will make his report and offer special recognitions, which will be followed by an informational report by Emmit Doolittle, the Student Representative to the Board of Education.
The Board will than consider approving the following financial reports and matters.
- Payment of $29, 124.54 in vender claims.
- Payment of local government purchasing card charges of $25,037.93
- Grant awards.
- The employee payroll for December 8, 2019, in the amount of $237,856.54
- Payment of the bills associated with the Major Improvement Project at Pocahontas County High School and the Major Improvement Project at the Green Bank Elementary-Middle School prior to Board approval.
- Approval to release the prize money to the Math field Day winners.
They will consider approval for the Greenbrier Youth Reporting Center to use the Pocahontas High School Facility.

The Board members will then hold a Matters of the Board session prior to adjourning the meeting.
