Pocahontas County Board of Education Meeting Agenda, Monday, 1-7-19
On Monday, January 7th at 6:00 p.m., the Pocahontas County Board of Education will its regular meeting at the Board of Education Conference Room in Buckeye with the following agenda.
The meeting will begin with approval of the minutes from the December 17th Board of Education meeting. After approving of this agenda, the Board will hear comments from the public – called “Delegations.”
Next the Board will receive Mr. Beam’s Superintendent’s Report and any Special Recognitions he wishes to offer followed by informational reports from Jarod Liptrap, the Student Representative to the Board of Education.
The Board will then examine and consider approval of the following financial matters:
Payment of vender claims; Grant awards; Budget adjustments; Extra Duty Pay for December; Approval of the December 21st employee payroll; approval of the November bank reconciliation; approval for the West Virginia Office of the State Auditor to conduct an audit on the financial statements of the Pocahontas County Board of Education for the fiscal year which ended on June 30, 2018, at a cost of $20,070.00 and approval of Pocahontas County Schools Summary Schedule of Revenues and Expenditures on a Cash Basis for the month ended November, 2018
The Board will then consider the following from the Miscellaneous portion of the agenda:
Approval of Megan Luikart as a Volunteer Cheerleading Coach at Hillsboro Elementary School.
Approval of the professional and service personnel agenda found at the end of this story on our website, www.alleghenymountainradio.org
They will then end the meeting with a “matters of the Board” session where each Board Member can speak to the Board and the public, followed by adjournment of the meeting.

UNPAID MEDICAL LEAVE: – SARAH C. BROWN as Teacher of Title I at Hillsboro Elementary School, effective upon exhaustion of Personal Leave for up to six weeks.
Pocahontas County High School:
UNPAID MEDICAL LEAVE: – LAUREL B. DILLEY as Teacher of Mathematics at PCHS effective upon exhaustion of Personal Leave for up to six weeks
REQUESTED TRANSFER: – PAM BENNETT from Custodian IV / Sanitation Operator at PCHS to Custodian III at PCHS, effective January 9, 2019 for the remainder of the school year. Term of Employment is 110 days (in addition to the days already worked during the 2018-2019 school year.) (NOTE: Term of employment shall be 220 days each year thereafter.) SHIFT: 2:00 p.m. -10:00 p.m.
