Pocahontas County Board of Education Meeting Agenda, Monday, 5-13-19
There will be a regular meeting of the Pocahontas County Board of Education at their Office Conference Room in Buckeye on Monday, May 13th at 6 p.m. with the following agenda.
After normal opening items such as, approving of minutes of prior meetings and of the agenda for this meeting they will receive public input called delegations.
The Board will receive Mr. Beam’s Superintendent’s Report and Special Recognitions.
They will next receive informational reports from the following: Jarod Liptrap, the Student Representative to the Board of Education; members of the National Youth Leadership of SADD; and from Stephanie Burns, the School system’s English Language Arts Coach.
The Board will then approve routine financial matters.
Next, they will consider approving of an annual agreement to participate in the West Virginia Department of Agriculture’s Food Distribution Program, and approval of an Attendance Zone Policy, which will require students living in a particular area of the County to attend a particular middle or elementary school.

The Board will then end the meeting with a “matters of the Board” session where each Board Member can speak to the Board and to the public.
