Volunteers in the Hillsboro area are working to raise a total of $8,000 as part of the community’s match toward getting the tower and transmitter up and running. So far, they are about a quarter of the way there. With construction of the tower tentatively scheduled for this fall, the time to get the remaining funds raised is drawing near.

Bill Hefner is not only a fine musician, he’s also creates the beautiful guitars he and others love to play. You can see and hear one of those beautiful guitars at the Opera House this weekend.

WVMR-FM 91.9 Hillsboro is closer than it has ever been to becoming a reality. Several people have already stepped forward to be on a committee that will spearhead fundraising efforts to get the transmitter up and running.
