2019 AMR Christmas Day Programming Schedule

Please note: due to the irregular timing of the various school concerts, the programs may not begin at the exact time listed in the schedule.   Our entire day of Christmas programming is automated so that all of our staff and volunteers can enjoy the day off.  Also, regretfully we were not able to include the holiday concerts from Millboro Elementary or Highland Elementary this year.

We hope you enjoy these programs as you share the day with family and friends.  Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from all of us here at Allegheny Mountain Radio.

6am – AG & Kate Christmas Special

7am – Valley Elementary and Marlinton Middle Schools

8am – Marlinton Elementary and Bath High Schools

9am – Green Bank Elem-Middle School and The Grinch Who Stole Christmas as read by local librarians

10am – Highland Community Chorus

11am – Pocahontas High School and The Night Before Christmas Poem

Noon – Highland High School and other Christmas goodies

2pm – Hillsboro Elementary and the Arbovale United Methodist Church Cantata

3pm – Celtic Highways and Byways Christmas Show

5pm – Christmas Revels: A Celebration of the Winter Soltice

6pm – A Christmas Jazz Special with Pete, The Duke of Smooth Jazz

Heather Niday

Heather is our Program Director and Traffic Manager. She started with Allegheny Mountain Radio as a volunteer deejay. She then joined the AMR staff in February of 2007. Heather grew up in the Richmond, Virginia, area and now lives in Arbovale, West Virginia with her husband Chuck. Heather is a wonderful flute player, and choir director for Arbovale UMC. You can hear Heather along with Chuck on Tuesday nights from 6 to 8pm as they host two hours of jazz on Something Different.
