A Few Good Minutes With Astrid Schween

I had the opportunity to sit down with Astrid Schween, cellist for the Juilliard String Quartet and a groundbreaking figure in the world of classical music. She’s performed in some of the world’s most prestigious venues. Our conversation was wide-ranging, and what stood out was how open and honest she was about her journey—easily one of the top five interviews for me. You can hear our full conversation at the link below.

You can also catch Astrid live this weekend at Garth Newel Music Center, performing with Aaron Berofsky and the Garth Newel Piano QuartetSaturday at 5 PM with an optional four-course dinner, and again on Sunday at 3 PM followed by a picnic buffet. Full program and ticket info at garthnewel.org.
