US Chamber Of Commerce Foundation To Offer Grants
In a press release from the United States Chamber of Commerce Foundation, it was announced that they, in partnership with Vistaprint and a coalition of supporting companies, foundations, and philanthropic donors, are working to provide financial relief for small businesses negatively affected by COVID-19.
The Save Small Business Fund is a grantmaking initiative providing $5,000 in short-term relief to employers across the United States. These one-time supplemental cash grants are for businesses that have between three and 20 employees, operate in an economically vulnerable community, and have been harmed financially by the COVID-19 pandemic
A recent poll conducted by the Chamber found that more than half of small businesses have closed at least temporarily or will close in the next two weeks. One in four are two months or less away from permanently closing.
Funds from the Save
The Small Business Fund were intended help as many businesses as possible meet
their most pressing needs — from rent, making payroll, or for overall business
operations. Grants will be distributed on a weekly, rolling basis until all
funds have been allocated.
The release noted that applications could be submitted beginning at 3:00 pm,
Eastern Standard Time. To learn more about the Save Small Business Fund and to
