Virginia Pandemic EBT Offered To Bath And Highland

Last week, AMR aired a story which announced that, due to the FAMILIES FIRST CORONAVIRUS RESPONSE ACT OF 2020 and Provision 2, a federal special assistance program, all families of enrolled students in Bath and Highland Counties are eligible for food benefits.

Families will receive $370 in food benefits per child (for days of school closure related to COVID-19).   However, to receive benefits, correct addresses are necessary for the Department of Social Services to issue Pandemic-EBT cards.

If you have moved since the beginning of the school year, please update your address by calling or leaving a voice message with your school secretary. This is essential for receiving the $370 EBT card.

The deadline for changing your address is 12PM Tuesday, May 5, 2020. Schools must provide correct data to Virginia Department of Education by Thursday, May 7.
