Pocahontas County power repair update – Friday 8 a.m.

Marlinton, W.Va. – There are only a few power outages across Pocahontas County this morning. MonPower is working on those and expects them to be back on later today.

If your power is still off, please call MonPower at 1-800 LIGHTSS.

Shelter locations have all been closed.

Weather forecast is for some light snow flurries changing to light rain today. Light winds with highs around 38 degrees.

Forecasters are watching another area of low pressure off the Atlantic Coast for next week, however, at the present time that storm is not expected to affect our region. National Weather Service and Emergency Management will continue to keep a close eye on the track of this developing storm.
