Highland Marketing Assistance Program Applications Now Available
According to a press release, funds are now available through the Marketing Assistance Program, developed by the Highland Tourism Council, to market Highland County as a tourist destination.
The Tourism Council has appropriated up to $3,000 in available assistance for Highland County organizations or businesses to stimulate new tourism initiatives or to assist in the growth of existing programs or events through the creation of tourism partnerships. The objective of this program is to leverage the limited marketing dollars obtained through the Transient Occupancy Tax, resulting in increased visitor spending, revenue, and jobs within the county.
The application, with guidelines, is available for download at www.highlandcounty.org/tourism-council. Completed applications will be accepted through the end of day on Friday, December 6, 2021 for amounts ranging from $250 to $3,000 and are limited to one per organization. Funds will be granted in January of 2022.
Successful candidates will partner with the Council to have a positive impact on the local economy while promoting Highland culture, traditions, and natural beauty. Program funds can be used for advertising, printed promotional pieces, website development, social media boosts, graphic design assistance, and other approved marketing expenses.
For more information or to obtain a printed copy of the application, call the Highland County Chamber of Commerce at 540-468-2550 or email director@highlandcounty.org
