Tourism with Intention: Rockbridge County Looks to the Future

How do you grow tourism without losing the heart of what makes a place feel like home?

I sat down with Sheryl Wagner, Executive Director of Lexington & Rockbridge Area Tourism, to talk about a new strategic planning effort that could shape the next 5 years of tourism in Lexington, Buena Vista, and Rockbridge County.

Now through August 6, residents and recent visitors are invited to complete a short online survey—sharing what they value most about the region, and how tourism can support the local economy and community identity.

This might sound like a story just outside our usual coverage—but with so much of our signal reaching into Rockbridge County, we wanted to make sure our listeners were in the loop.
