Isaac Melamed on Music, Seasons, and the Fall Foliage Festival at Garth Newel

As Co-Artistic Director of the Garth Newel Piano Quartet, cellist Isaac Melamed has spent the past decade shaping not just performances—but people.

In a recent interview with Allegheny Mountain Radio, Isaac spoke about one of the cornerstones of Garth Newel’s mission: the Emerging Artist Fellowship Program, a four-week summer intensive that brings young musicians to Bath County to study, perform, and grow.

“I wish something like this had been on my radar when I was an undergrad or even in grad school,” he said.

Renewal is at the heart of the Fall Foliage Festival, with two weekends of world-class chamber music, set against the vibrant backdrop of autumn in the Allegheny Highlands.
