Garth Newel’s Pub Series Is Back

Fitz Gary joined me on air to preview the 2026 Garth Newel Pub Series — a concert series that blends world-class chamber music, comfort food, and a come-as-you-are atmosphere.

Fitz is the violist and a Co-Artistic Director of the Garth Newel Piano Quartet. It’s always good to sit down with him. The last time we were on air was this past summer during the Music Feeds Us concert series, which raises funds for the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank.

This year’s Pub Series kicks off with PDQ Bach, Brats, and Belgian Beer on Saturday, February 7 at 6 PM, followed by Tower, Tamales, Tito’s and Tequila on Saturday, February 21 at 6 PM — both featuring performances by the Garth Newel Piano Quartet and pub fare from Chef Josh’s kitchen.
