Maple Fest 2027 Vendor Application Deadline October 31st

It’s never too early to start preparing for next year’s Highland County’s Maple Festival.

So says Highland County Chamber of Commerce Director Chris Swecker, who is putting the word out to artisans, crafters and food vendors from near or far to apply for a spot to sell their creations.

Swecker says the Chamber usually begins their vendor search after Labor Day, attracting more than 100 high-quality and juried vendors each year. He estimated about130 slots in Monterey and McDowell are up for grabs.

The 67th annual Highland Maple Festival is scheduled for the weekends of March 13th and March 14th and March 20th and 21st in 2027.

Since 1959, the festival has become one of Highland County’s most popular events, drawing between 20,000 to 30,000 visitors each year to celebrate the opening of the Maple trees.

Culinary favorites, such as pancakes with locally made Maple Syrup or Maple doughnuts, are a big attraction. But for those seeking a little local culture, tours at the numerous sugar camps located throughout the county demonstrate how maple syrup is produced.

All prospective vendors, who are jury-reviewed for uniqueness, quality and diversity of merchandise, have a choice of inside or outside spaces in Monterey or McDowell should they be selected.

Applicants are asked to submit 5 photos of their merchandise they plan to sell, including 1 photo of their booth setup. A business website that includes the photos is acceptable.

Vendors can apply for an application on-line at director@highlandcounty.org or call the Chamber Office for a hard copy of the application at 540-468-2550. The deadline to apply is by the end of the day on Oct. 31st.
