Contest Rules

Allegheny Mountain Radio (“AMR”) may conduct contests from time to time in which prizes are awarded.  All contests conducted by Allegheny Mountain Radio are governed by the following rules:

General

• Application – These general rules apply to all contests unless conflicting rules are stated for specific contests, which are set out below.
• Eligibility – All persons 18 years of age and older are eligible to enter contests, with the exception of employees and volunteers of Allegheny Mountain Radio (“AMR”) and board members of Pocahontas Communications Cooperative Corporation.
• Entry deadline – the deadline to enter contests in which a prize is given away by lottery (i.e. random selection of the winner) will be stated on-air each time the contest is announced.
• How winner is selected – Unless stated differently within the rules for a specific contest (see specific contests, below), winners will be selected at random using a random number generator and then matching the resultant number against a pre-numbered list of contest entrants’ names.  The entrant whose number matches the randomly generated number will be deemed the winner.
• Notification – All entrants must provide their first and last legal names and a telephone number at which they can be contacted.  AMR will notify the winner promptly by telephone to make arrangements for the winner to claim the prize. If the winner does not answer the telephone when called, AMR will leave a message with the person who answered the telephone or on an answering device, as applicable.  If the telephone is not answered either by a person or an answering device, AMR will make two additional attempts to notify the winner within 24 hours after the winner was determined.
• Claim period – Winners shall have seven calendar days from the date of notification to claim their prizes.  The first day of the seven-day claim period shall be the day on which the winner was determined, regardless what time of day that occurred or the date on which the winner received notification of winning.
• Unclaimed prizes – All prizes not claimed within seven days from the date of award shall remain the exclusive property of AMR.
• AMR reserves the right to modify these rules at any time.

Mel’s Mixes

• Melodie, the host of Mel’s Mixes, will invite listeners to call into her program (Mel’s Mixes) and to “like” the Mel’s Mixes Facebook page and to “share” her posts on that page.
• Melodie will enter each call-in listener’s name once by writing that listener’s name on a pre-numbered list.
• Melodie will enter the name of each person who “liked” the Mel’s Mixes Facebook page once on the same pre-numbered list.
• Melodie will enter the name of each person who “shared” a post on Mel’s Mixes Facebook page once on the same pre-numbered list.
• A person, therefore, can have his/her name entered more than once on the pre-numbered list, but no more often than once per event (i.e., call-in to the program, like the Facebook page, share a post).
• At the time of the drawing, Melodie will use a random number generator to generate a number within the range of numbered entries on the list.
• The name corresponding to the generated number will be deemed the winner.
• Melodie will announce on the air the deadline to enter her drawing.
• Prior to the drawing, Melodie will inform listeners on the air as to the fair market value of the prize(s).
