On June 7th, the Historic Masonic Theatre in Clifton Forge and the Virginia Opry present Seals and Crofts 2.   Experience the music of ’70s rock duo Seals & Crofts in a whole new way. Hear the hits “Summer Breeze,” “Diamond Girl,” and “We May Never Pass This Way (Again),” artfully re-imagined with a reverent nod to the past. Seals & Crofts 2, comprised of Brady Seals (cousin to James “Jim” Seals) and Lua Crofts (daughter of Darrell “Dash” Crofts) will dazzle you on their debut album. The project will feature many popular Seals & Crofts classics, as well as new songs from Seals & Crofts 2.

On June 22nd, the Masonic theater opens the summer amphitheater concert series with Alexa Rose. Born in the Allegheny Highlands of western Virginia, she grew up in the railroad town of Clifton Forge and inherited a deep musical legacy from her great-grandfather Alvie who played for a time with bluegrass great Lester Flatt.

That sense of place and storytelling spirit became woven into Rose’s voice and songwriting. In 2019, she released her debut album “Medicine For Living,” the title track of which won Merlefest’s revered Chris Austin Songwriting Contest. Her 2021 sophomore release, “Headwaters,” was featured in American Songwriter and Rolling Stone, among others.

Tickets $15, Available at the door. This event may be moved inside due to inclement weather, including excessive heat.
