Bath Board of Supervisors Approves New Guidelines For Public Comment At Monthly Meetings

Warm Springs, VA – The Bath Board of Supervisors next monthly meeting is Tuesday February 14. The board has approved new rules and guidelines for public comment that will be in effect at that meeting.

There will continue to be two public comment periods, one at the very beginning of the meeting and one at the end. Anyone who wants to speak during the first public comment period must sign in, including name and district, in order to be recognized by the Chairman of the Board.

To speak, individuals should come forward to the podium when recognized by the Chairman. And say name and address or district in which they reside. Comments should be directed to the Chairman of the Board.

Individuals are limited to three minutes per comment period. Individuals representing a group of four or more are limited to five minutes per comment period. Members comprising the group represented forfeit their individual time to speak.

All citizens are strongly encouraged to put their comments in writing to the Board prior to the meeting for inclusion in Board materials. Such written comments should be submitted to the County Administrators office or to a member of the Board of Supervisors the Thursday prior to the meeting.
