Bath Old Dairy Heritage Festival Brings County History To Life

Hot Springs, VA – You can learn about and experience some of Bath County’s History at the Old Dairy Heritage Festival October 8th through the 10th. The Virginia Hot Springs Preservation Trust is one of the sponsors of this new festival and Mary Hodges is the Executive Director.

The festival gets underway Friday October 8 at 6:30. In addition to the Virginia Hot Springs Preservation Trust, the Valley Conservation Council, the Bath County Historical Society and The Homestead are also sponsors of the festival. All events are open to the public and are free of charge. The Festival continues on Saturday October 9th at 7pm.

The Old Dairy Heritage Festival wraps up with a history tour of The Homestead on Sunday afternoon October 10. Meet in The Homestead’s main lobby at 2. All events take place at the Old Dairy Barn in Warm Springs, with the exception of The Homestead tour. Space is limited for all events, so please make a reservation if you want to attend. Heather is our Program Director and Traffic Manager. She started with Allegheny Mountain Radio as a volunteer deejay. She then joined the AMR staff in February of 2007. Heather grew up in the Richmond, Virginia, area and now lives in Arbovale, West Virginia with her husband Chuck. Heather is a wonderful flute player, and choir director for Arbovale UMC. You can hear Heather along with Chuck on Tuesday nights from 6 to 8pm as they host two hours of jazz on Something Different.
