Bath School Board seeks to fill vacancy

Hot Springs, Va. – The Bath County School Board is looking for someone to fill a vacancy for its Millboro district seat.

Millboro district representative Allison Hicklin resigned from the school board at the board’s monthly meeting on June fifth. She resigned because she is applying for the position of principal at Millboro Elementary School.

The Bath School Board will appoint an interim board member for the Millboro seat. The interim board member will fill the vacancy for the unexpired term until a special election is held on November sixth.

Any qualified voters residing in the Millboro district can apply to serve as the interim board member for the vacant seat. Anyone interested should submit a letter to Division Superintendent Sue Hirsh. The mailing address is P.O. Box 67, Warm Springs, Virginia, 24484. Letters need to arrive no later than 5pm on Thursday, June 28.
