Bath Seniors Walk Across America
Warm Springs, Va – The weather is cooling down but we are still moving at the Bath senior center. We have this summer had a walk across America program, which on the 13th we’ll have our grand finale. We were able to, using pedometers, walk completely across the United States and end up in San Francisco and we’re going to be celebrating on the 13th with prizes for those who really participated and did a wonderful job of it.
And the next day on the 14th we’re going to return to our healthier aging- get fit program at the wellness center in Mitchelltown. We will be having that every Thursday at 10:15 and it’s open to the public to anyone over the age of 60. If you would like to join us you can come to the center and go with us or meet us at the wellness center at 10:15. We’ll be doing that through April.
We’re going to have a Tidewater trip photo day, slideshow and root beer floats on Monday the 18th. That is our trip that we took for three days down to Norfolk.
On the 20th bingo begins down at the YMCA and we usually go out to lunch and to Walmart. Anyone who’s interested in that, please give us a call. The Staunton Senior Center has a grand opening on the 21st, they’ve moved to a new building and they’ve invited us for a luncheon so we’ll be going to that.
Last big thing we’ll be doing this month, because it’s October, is a Halloween party on Thursday the 28th. Anyone who wants to come join us for a Halloween party, please do. We are open Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 to 1.
