Bath Supervisor Candidates Respond To Tax Question – Part 2

Warm Springs, Virginia – The Bath County Chamber of Commerce held a meet the candidate forum at The Dairy Barn in Warm Springs on October 20. A standing-room-only crowd packed the meeting hall to hear the candidates speak. Mary Adderton mediated the forum and Bonnie Kling served as timekeeper.

Candidates for several county offices participated in the forum. The candidates had 90 seconds to make a statement and 90 seconds to respond to questions, submitted in writing, from audience members.

Ten board of supervisors candidates were asked this question: What steps will you take to handle the tax issue concerning revenue needed to fund state mandates and to meet local budgetary needs?

Part one, with answers from P.B. “Bart” Perdue, Jon R. Trees, Dreama L. Burns and Cliff A. Gilchrest, aired earlier in the week.

This part, Part 2, includes answers from Henry Kevin Fry and H.R. “Ronnie” Dunnagan, candidates from the Valley Springs District and Bruce McWilliams, candidate from the Williamsville District.

Part three will air later in the week and will include answers from the last three board of supervisors candidates. Check our website at www.alleghenymountainradio.org for all of the participating supervisor candidates’ answers to the tax issue question.
