Bath Supervisor Candidates Respond To Tax Question – Part Three
Warm Springs, VA – The Bath County Chamber of Commerce held a meet the candidate forum at The Dairy Barn in Warm Springs on October 20. A standing-room-only crowd packed the meeting hall to hear the candidates speak. Mary Adderton mediated the forum and Bonnie Kling served as timekeeper.
Candidates for several county offices participated in the forum. The candidates had 90 seconds to make a statement and 90 seconds to respond to questions, submitted in writing, from audience members.
Parts one and two, with answers from seven board of supervisors candidates, aired earlier in the week.
In this Part 3, Ellen Andrews, Claire A. Collins and Eddie H. Ryder, supervisor candidates from the Cedar Creek District, answer the following question: What steps will you take to handle the tax issue concerning revenue needed to fund state mandates and to meet local budgetary needs?
