Bath Supervisor Candidates Respond To Tax Question

Warm Springs, Virginia – The Bath County Chamber of Commerce held a meet the candidate forum at The Dairy Barn in Warm Springs on October 20. A standing-room-only crowd packed the meeting hall to hear the candidates speak. Mary Adderton mediated the forum and Bonnie Kling served as timekeeper.

Candidates for several county offices participated in the forum. The candidates had 90 seconds to make a statement and 90 seconds to respond to questions, submitted in writing, from audience members.

Board of supervisors candidates were asked this question: What steps will you take to handle the tax issue concerning revenue needed to fund state mandates and to meet local budgetary needs?
