Benefit Dinner Follow 2nd Annual Arbogast Poker Run Saturday, August 20th

Monterey, VA – Following the 2nd Annual Poker Run being held in Wayne Arbogast’s honor, scheduled for this upcoming Saturday August 20th, is a free will donation meal.
The meal will be held at the Word of Faith Church in Monterey, VA from 5-7:30 pm. Word of Faith Church Outreach member Trenda Varner explains the menu for meal.

“We’re having a pulled pork bar-be-que dinner” says Varner. “It’s open to the public after the poker run. We’re having coleslaw, macaroni & cheese, baked beans, and homemade desserts.”

Varner explains where the proceeds of the meal will go.

“The proceeds for the dinner will be put into the Word of Faith Church Outreach Ministry to be used as we see fit into the community for those in need that’s had a illness or a fire or whatever the case may be that someone may need money” she says. “And that’s what we’re going to be using the money for.”

If you are unable to attend the meal you can still contribute to the ministry. Donations for the Word of Faith Outreach can be mailed to WOFC Outreach, PO Box 276, Monterey, VA 24465. Donations may also be dropped off at Gutshall’s Exxon in Monterey or if you know any WOFC member. Varner hopes everyone in the public will come out for the meal.

“People should just come out and be a blessing to their neighbor who may be in need” she says.
