Big Hollow Fire Continues To Burn Near Millboro Springs

Millboro Springs, VA – The Big Hollow Fire continues to burn near Millboro Springs. As of Monday afternoon the fire covered about 117 acres. The fire is 80% contained. The wet weather is helpful but the fire may not be 100% contained until next week.

The Fire is located about two miles south south west of Millboro Springs in the Big Hollow drainage near Sugar Hollow Road. Coffee Pot Road, which is Forest Road 462, is currently closed. The Big Hollow Fire was caused by a lightning strike on Wednesday September 22.
