Chargers and Warriors both rack up wins in first games of the season

The Bath Chargers and Pocahontas Warriors football teams both won their season opening games on Friday August 28th. The Chargers were on the road at East Montgomery High School and after playing a hard fought game, came away with a win by a score of 2 points. Final score in the game was Bath 29, East Montgomery 27.

The Pocahontas Warriors did an excellent job of defending the home turf against the Tucker County Mountain Lions for a resounding win for their first game of the 2015 season. Final score was Pocahontas 52, Tucker 16.

A BIG thanks to Tucker County Sports for allowing us to broadcast their online stream of the game when we had difficulty in making the connection between WVMR and the school press box. And thanks to WVMR broadcaster Roland Armstrong for his flexibility in airing the broadcast. Working together they saved the day!
