Computer Classes Continue At Highland County Library

Monterey, Va – We’ve been offering free computer classes at the library and many people have taken advantage of the opportunity to learn more about using the computer; in May we’re offering several more classes so you can take advantage, too.

On May 2nd, from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. we’re offering “Beginning Computer” for people who are starting from scratch. On May 9th from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. we’re offering “Beginning Internet,” which covers internet browsers and searching. On Tuesday, May 17th, at 7:00 p.m. we’ll offer a “Facebook” class where you can learn more about using the most popular social media site on the web.

Later in the month we hope to offer a class on Quickbooks. If you are interested in taking a class call 468-2373 or stop by the library to register. Laptops are provided for the class.

On Saturday, May 14th the library is pleased to be teaming with iREACT instructor Chris Vernovai, NREMT-Paramedic/Firefighter, to offer a free First Aid and CPR class. This class is designed for the general public and everyone is encouraged to attend. It will help you understand the basic life-saving skills of both First Aid and CPR. Plus, you will receive a valid certification card upon successful completion.

All this for FREE, sponsored by the Highland County Public Library. The class is limited to ten students so if you are interested you must register by calling 468-2373 or stopping by the library.
