Creation Care Walk In Pocahontas And Highland This Week

Hillsboro, WV – A group of Evangelical Christians, including some Pocahontas County residents will be walking through Pocahontas and Highland Counties this week. The walk is a Creation Care walk and is a prelude to the National Day of Prayer for Creation Care on May 25th in Washington DC and other cities across the nation.

This particular walk began in Anstead WV on May 7th. Along the journey, participants will stop and pray for the world and for the people who have been affected by changes in the earth’s climate. Below is their schedule (text only).

Heather is our Program Director and Traffic Manager. She started with Allegheny Mountain Radio as a volunteer deejay. She then joined the AMR staff in February of 2007. Heather grew up in the Richmond, Virginia, area and now lives in Arbovale, West Virginia with her husband Chuck. Heather is a wonderful flute player, and choir director for Arbovale UMC. You can hear Heather along with Chuck on Tuesday nights from 6 to 8pm as they host two hours of jazz on Something Different.
