Bath Community Hospital’s new President & CEO, Dr. Jane Russell, sat down with Allegheny Mountain Radio’s Danny Cardwell for a thoughtful conversation about leadership and rural healthcare. From her experiences serving tribal communities in Alaska to leading hospitals on the Oregon coast, Dr. Russell shared how her background as a pharmacist — combined with an MBA and years of executive experience — has shaped her approach to melding patient care with hospital leadership. She reflected on the strong foundation left by outgoing CEO Jeff Lingerfelt, praised the positive culture she’s found at Bath Community Hospital, and spoke candidly about the opportunities she sees ahead here in the Allegheny Highlands.
