Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library Comes To Bath County
We have two remarkable individuals in studio with us today, Lori Hambrick and Hannah Woodzell. Lori, served as Bath County’s 2022 Christmas Mother, and Hannah, has been a dedicated representative of the Doris the L. Via Cancer Fund. They join us today to shed light on a cause that resonates deeply with Allegheny Mountain Radio: education, particularly early childhood education through the Dolly Parton Imagination Library.
Founded by country music legend Dolly Parton in 1995, with a mission to instill a love for reading and promote literacy among preschool children. The program mails free, high-quality books to children from birth to age five, regardless of their family’s income. Its impact has been felt globally, positively influencing early childhood literacy rates, school readiness, and fostering a love for reading.
Operating through partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and philanthropic groups, the Imagination Library has steadily expanded its reach over the years, welcoming new communities into its fold. Today, Lori and Hannah join us to talk about the Imagination Library. We had some technical difficulties that prevented us from recording the first minute of the interview. We apologize for the inconvenience. We ask that you like and share this on social media to help us reach more people like you.
