Eleven People On Ballot For 2011 Marlinton Town Election

Marlinton, WV – The Town of Marlinton held a town convention this week for the list of candidates that will appear on the ballot in June. For the office of Mayor, incumbent Dennis C. Driscoll will face Councilman Joseph Smith.

Eight candidates have filed to fill the five positions on the Marlinton Town Council. Four are currently serving as council members; they are David Zorn, Loretta Malcomb, Louise Barnisky, and Norris Long. The other candidates for town council are Ronald Freer, Natasha McMann, Cris Weber and Bill McLaughlin.

Current Town Recorder Robin Mutscheller is the only candidate for that position.

Election Day in Marlinton is June 14th.
