Find Fun, Fellowship And Warmth At The Bath Senior Center In December

Warm Springs, VA – While the weather outside is frightful, the Bath Senior Center has lots of warm and fun programs going on for December. This is Jeanne Apgar for the Bath Senior Center. The main events for this month – beginning on Wednesday December 8, is our shopping day in Covington. December 9th we have Pastor Charles Reed coming to give us Christmas devotions.

Wednesday the 15th is our Christmas Luncheon. Saturday December 18th our van will be in the Christmas parade and there will be a quilt drawing for the quilt that we have and it will be on the radio. Monday the 20th is our tea party and everyone will be bringing in special teacups.

Wednesday the 22nd is our Christmas party and secret Santa. We’re closed December 23rd to enjoy the Christmas holidays with our families. Monday the 27th is a special holiday musical chairs day. Wednesday the 29th is game day and we’ll be having chicken foot and Pokeno. And then Thursday the 30th is our New Year’s Eve party and we’ll be making healthy New Year resolutions.

We hope you can join us for some of these things this month. We’re located in Warm Springs and are open Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9 to 1. We serve a hot lunch at 11:30. We have exercises daily around 10 and we have Wii bowling at that time. Every Thursday from 10:15 to 11 we meet at the Wellness Center in Mitchelltown for a fitness workout. This is free to the Bath Community over 60. Come join us anytime you can.

Heather is our Program Director and Traffic Manager. She started with Allegheny Mountain Radio as a volunteer deejay. She then joined the AMR staff in February of 2007. Heather grew up in the Richmond, Virginia, area and now lives in Arbovale, West Virginia with her husband Chuck. Heather is a wonderful flute player, and choir director for Arbovale UMC. You can hear Heather along with Chuck on Tuesday nights from 6 to 8pm as they host two hours of jazz on Something Different.
