Foreign Language at PCHS

Dunmore, WV – There are about 30 students coming into Pocahontas County High School this fall who want to continue the Spanish education they started in middle school. But at the end of scheduling day, only three of those had found a seat in a Spanish class. Parents are worried about their children competing for college entrance – not to mention mastering the language – and the Board of Education says, with the schools’ enrollment declining, there isn’t enough money to hire another teacher.
