Forensic Files Bath County? BCHS Has A New Club

On Wednesday, February 14th, Thomas and Laura McRoberts joined Danny in the WCHG Studio to talk about the Forensic Club they started at Bath County High School. Thomas has been a deputy for the Bath County Sheriffs Office for about 12 years. He is currently the School Resource Officer. Laura works as an Emergency Room nurse in Rockbridge County.

The couple started the club as response to several requests from students. Thomas took the idea to Laura and the two have worked nonstop planning activities, demonstrating finger printing techniques and evidence collection and arranging special guest speakers.

Thomas and Laura were very knowledgeable about the role forensics play in law enforcement. They were equally as passionate about the possibility of opening career avenues for the students.
