Four Warriors get All-State soccer honors

Charleston, W.Va. –
The West Virginia Sportswriters Association recognized two Pocahontas Warriors and two Lady Warriors with All-State soccer honors.

The writers named senior midfielder Parker White to the All-State first team and senior Tyler Davis received honorable mention. The sportswriters voted junior goalie Lorena Rose to the second team All-State soccer squad and senior forward Samantha Walton joined Rose on the second team roster.

Davis scored four goals in the Warriors sectional championship victory over Nicholas County and also scored the Warriors’ only two goals in the regional championship game.

Walton scored twice in the girls sectional championship victory over Midland Trail and Rose blocked several shots to shut out the Patriots in that championship game.

Congratulations to these outstanding athletes for their well-deserved recognition.
