Framing The Truth
Over this series, we’ve explored how trust in the media is shaped by more than just facts—it’s influenced by perception, bias, and the way stories are told. In part one, we examined how people naturally gravitate toward news that reinforces their beliefs. Part two looked at how social media algorithms amplify bias. Part three investigated the decline of local news and its impact on trust.
Now, in part four, we analyze how bias shapes reporting. Using tax policy and environmental deregulation as examples, we break down how different outlets frame the same event to fit their audience. The truth isn’t always about choosing a side—it’s about understanding how narratives are constructed and questioning what’s presented.
