He Made It Through The Blind Auditions – So What’s Next For Chris Cauley On The Reality Talent Show “The Voice”?

Hot Springs, VA – Chris Cauley, of Atlanta Georgia, appeared on the reality talent show “The Voice” last week as part of the show’s blind auditions. Chris has a connection to Bath County; he’ss the grandson of Pete and the late Faye Cauley of Millboro. He sang a song called “Grenade” during his audition and was selected by two of the show’s four judges, Cee Lo Green and Adam Levine.

Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton are the other two judges and each one builds a team of singers through the blind audition. Since he was chosen by two judges, Chris got to pick who he wanted to work with and he chose Adam Levine. So Chris made the first cut on the show and what happens next?

“We’re not really sure, to be honest,” says Cauley. “If I’m not mistaken, I believe we go on to battle rounds, where I think we’re going to battle people on our team, which is going to be very interesting to see that. The way they do it, it’s actually going to play out on TV. We’ve already filmed a few things coming up, but we don’t know the results necessarily because a lot of things are going to happen on TV that are going to tell us whether we go back or not or when we go back. We’re definitely going to be finding out just like America is; we’re going to be watching NBC, glued to the TV on Monday nights and see what happens.”

As the show progresses, singers are eliminated and viewer votes will determine the final winner.

“My Facebook is blowing up currently,” says Cauley. “There’s a new Facebook fan page that “The Voice” put up for me and my Twitter account which is just @chriscauley. And the single, obviously I sing Bruno Mars’ “Grenade”, and that is now available on iTunes. A great part of the show is that as soon as the performances are over, iTunes puts the recordings up live.”

“As soon as you walked off stage, we went right to the recording studio and laid down the full length version which is now available on iTunes. So you’re almost buying the support with your dollar or whatever; and I do know from experience that NBC definitely pays attention to the sales, so I could use that support. If people out there liked what they heard or want to support a Bath County Cauley with ties obviously to the area, that’d be great to hop on over to iTunes and purchase “Grenade.”

“It’s going to be fun,” says Cauley. “I’m trying not to stress out about it too much, because I do want to enjoy it. And I’m not taking this or myself too serious because then, you know, it would be easy to be consumed by this. I’m just going to have a great time with it and enjoy all the blessings that come with it and just gain as much exposure as possible in the meantime.”
