Highland County Arts Council to Host Artists’ Weekend and Wet Paint Show

The 14th Artists’ Weekend will be held Friday, June 28 through Sunday, June 30.

The Highland County Arts Council has received special permission from participating landowners and sought out scenic spots around the county to paint from. Registration begins at the Highland Center at 8am on Friday, where participants will complete paperwork, pick up their packets, a picnic lunch if they purchased one, and receive location information before venturing out to make art. Picnic lunches, catered by Claire’s Cakes & Cafe, are available for pre-purchase until June 24th and can be ordered through the link emailed upon registration.

Sunday, artists will be provided an informal brunch as they set up for the highly anticipated “Wet Paint Show” and sale. One brunch ticket is included with registration, and additional brunch tickets can be purchased for family and friends. The Wet Paint Show & Sale will be held and open to the public at the Highland Center from 2pm-4pm. Artists are not required, but asked to donate a commission to the Highland County Arts Council for sales made at the show. The Arts Council is proud to sponsor Artists’ Weekend and proceeds go toward future promotion of the event.

Tickets are available on the website https://www.highlandcountyartscouncil.org/event-details/14th-artists-weekend
