Highland County Slate Of Candidates Certified For November Elections

Monterey, VA – Filing for candidacy for the Highland County Elections in November closed on Tuesday August 23.

Candidates for the Highland County Board of Supervisors are Lee Blagg, David Blanchard, Jerry Rexrode and Kevin Wagner.

Candidates for Highland County Sheriff are Timothy Duff, Roy Gutshall, David Neil, Bill Wagner, and Ronald Wimer.

There is one candidate, Darlene Crummett, for Commissioner of Revenue. There is one candidate, Lois White, for Treasurer. And there is one candidate, Melissa Dowd, for Commonwealth’s Attorney.

Two candidates have filed for membership on the Highland County School Board, John Moyers and Joseph Neil. There are also two candidates for the Soil and Water Conservation Director of the Mountain District, Dean Beverage and James Sponaugle.
