Inside the Red House with Amanda McGuire and Catherine Hall Kiser

Earlier this week, Danny sat down with Amanda McGuire and Catherine Hall Kiser for a thoughtful conversation about art, nature, and community.

Amanda is a former WCHG News Director and the founder of the Red House Residency in Millboro, Virginia. She launched the program just over five years ago to create space for artists to reflect, explore, and share their work with the public.

Catherine Hall Kiser is a visual artist and educator who encourages people to slow down and connect with their surroundings through mark-making and reflection. Her upcoming workshop, Contemplating the Natural World Through Sketching and Writing, invites participants to explore their creativity outdoors. It will be held Saturday, September 13, from 2 to 5 p.m. at 4304 Westminster Road in Millboro.
