Is Childcare Coming To Bath County?
High-quality child care keeps children safe and healthy. In addition, it helps children develop skills they will need for success in school and in their lives outside of school: Social, emotional and communication skills. Pre-literacy and basic mathematical skills and concepts. Bath County is the only locality in the Commonwealth of Virginia that doesn’t have childcare. I sat down with Jason Miller, Director of Social Services in Bath County to discuss a plan he and County Administrator Ashton Harrison are working on to resolve this issue. Below is a link to the interview that aired during Noon Hour Magazine on December, 15th.
