Josh Grigsby and Countyline Join the 2025 Gospel Jubilee
Josh Grigsby and Countyline have earned a name as one of Virginia’s standout bluegrass groups — with honors from the Virginia Folk Music Association and multiple “Band of the Year” awards to their credit. Known for their heartfelt harmonies and award-winning gospel-bluegrass sound, the band continues to carry bluegrass into new audiences while staying rooted in tradition.
This year, they’ll bring that sound to the 2025 Gospel Jubilee, presented by Allegheny Mountain Radio. The evening event takes place Saturday, October 11, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Bath County High School Auditorium in Hot Springs, Virginia. Doors and concessions open at 5:00 p.m., and admission is by free will offering.
The Jubilee lineup features:
-
Ivan Parker – returning after his inspiring 2024 performance, a nationally recognized gospel artist with decades of accolades, solo albums, and Gaither Homecoming appearances.
-
Josh Grigsby & Countyline – Virginia Folk Music Association’s 2015 Bluegrass Band Champion, with recordings heard nationwide.
-
Richard & Karen Hise with their daughter, Jenna Newmarker – longtime supporters and performers with decades of volunteer service to Allegheny Mountain Radio.
Concessions will be provided by the Virginia Chapel Women’s Group, with raffles and AMR merchandise also available.
In my conversation with Josh, we talked about the band’s journey, the role of gospel music in their story, and what lies ahead.
