Manion files for Bath School Board

Hot Springs, Va. –
William “Bill” Manion is running for the Millboro District seat on the Bath School Board. He is the only person who filed as a candidate for the special election on November 6.

In mid July, Manion was appointed to fill the Millboro District seat on the school board until the special election. The seat was previously head by Allison Hicklin. She resigned from the School Board and then applied for the job of principal at Millboro Elementary School. Hicklin was appointed as principal and began work on July 1. The special election is being held on November 6 to fill Hicklin’s unexpired term.

Manion has served on the Bath School Board previously, from 1996 to 1999. He was also the first county administrator in Bath, from 1987 to 1991.

Although Manion is the only candidate who has filed to run for the seat, other names can be written in on the ballot on November 6.
