Monterey, Va – The Highland County Arts Council is sponsoring a new art exhibit at the Highland Public Library. Anne Sylvest is showing several paintings she did while living in Richmond. She started doing art at a very young age when she was told as a youngster that she was an artist. Taking that to heart, she began a lifelong pursuit of expressing herself through her paintings.

Before moving to Highland County, Anne and her husband lived in Richmond. It has been over 20 years since Anne started showing her art work. Anne Sylvest has several interesting and colorful works on display at the Highland Public Library through April 27.
