O’Brien named interim Bath administrator

Hot Springs, Va. –

An interim County Administrator has been selected for Bath County. The Bath County Board of Supervisors has announced the appointment of William “Bill” O’Brien to serve as Bath’s interim County Administrator. Mr. O’Brien has more than four decades of experience in administration, including serving as the Rockingham County Administrator from 1977 until 2004. Mr. O’Brien will begin work on Monday October 22. He will also be assisting in the search for a new county administrator.

Bath County Administrator Matt Walker’s last official day will be Friday October 12. Walker resigned on August 31, to accept the position of Middlesex County Administrator. Walker came to Bath from Middlesex County, where he served as Director of Community Development.

Heather is our Program Director and Traffic Manager. She started with Allegheny Mountain Radio as a volunteer deejay. She then joined the AMR staff in February of 2007. Heather grew up in the Richmond, Virginia, area and now lives in Arbovale, West Virginia with her husband Chuck. Heather is a wonderful flute player, and choir director for Arbovale UMC. You can hear Heather along with Chuck on Tuesday nights from 6 to 8pm as they host two hours of jazz on Something Different.
