Outgoing Bath Board of Supervisors Holds Its Final Monthly Meeting
Warm Springs, Va – The outgoing Bath Board of Supervisors held its final monthly meeting on Tuesday night with three of five members present. Supervisors Carol Hardbarger and Stuart Hall were unable to attend on Tuesday night.
The Board moved ahead with items for the incoming board for January by setting a public hearing on a rezoning request for the January 10th meeting. Wayne Williams of Millboro is seeking to rezone about two acres from agricultural general to general business. The property is located at the intersection of TC Walker Road and Route 39.
And the board adopted a resoluntion of recognition and congratulations for the Bath County High School Volleyball team and coaching staff. The team won the Virginia single A division 1 championship.
And a resolution of appreciation was presented by Tourism Director Maggie Anderson, recognizing the contribution of Bath County High School students Davey Smith, Michael Ryder and instructor Joey Altizer for their design and construction of wooden tourism racks for display of materials in area businesses.
And the board authorized the sheriff elect, Robert Plecker, to advertise and hire for two deputy vacancies. One vacancy is the result of Plecker’s election as Sheriff and the other is the result of a deputy’s retirement.
