PCHS Soccer Action On Tuesday, October 6th

Dunmore, WV – On Tuesday night the Pocahontas County Lady Warriors Soccer team traveled to AAA Nicholas County. The first half was a scoreless tie, but senior all-stater Morgan Williamson would score two goals in the second half. The Lady Warriors defense would also have a stellar night as they held Nicholas County scoreless throughout the game. Pocahontas got the win 2-0 and advancing their record to 8-4. The Lady Warriors next face #5 ranked Shady Spring on Thursday.

The Pocahontas Boys Soccer team was also in action on Tuesday night as they traveled to play #6 Sissonville. The game would be controlled early by Sissonville as they took a 3-0 lead into halftime. The Sissonville Indians would be even more dominant in the second half as they put six more goals on the board to defeat the Warriors 9-1. Pocahontas’s record drops to 2-7-2 on the year. The Warriors next face Shady Spring also on Thursday night.

Heather is our Program Director and Traffic Manager. She started with Allegheny Mountain Radio as a volunteer deejay. She then joined the AMR staff in February of 2007. Heather grew up in the Richmond, Virginia, area and now lives in Arbovale, West Virginia with her husband Chuck. Heather is a wonderful flute player, and choir director for Arbovale UMC. You can hear Heather along with Chuck on Tuesday nights from 6 to 8pm as they host two hours of jazz on Something Different.
