Pocahontas County 4-H Club Kids Dreaming Of 4-H Camp

Marlinton, WV – Spring is in the air and thoughts of West Virginia boys and girls, who are members of Pocahontas County 4-H Clubs, are already turning to the fun and excitement of 4-H Camp. The camp will be held at Thornwood, June 13th thru the 17th.

Diane Buzzard attended the Marlinton Trailblazers 4-H Club’s March meeting and spoke with some of the members. They shared their anticipation about the upcoming summer camp.

Pocahontas County 4-H Clubs are seeking Camp T-shirt sponsors. Sponsors pay $50 and will have their name printed on T-shirts that will be distributed to each 4-Camp attendee. Contact your local 4-H Club Leader or mail or take your sponsorship and payment to the Pocahontas County 4-H Extension Office in Marlinton. Checks should be made payable to the 4-H Foundation and are due by April 1st.

Heather is our Program Director and Traffic Manager. She started with Allegheny Mountain Radio as a volunteer deejay. She then joined the AMR staff in February of 2007. Heather grew up in the Richmond, Virginia, area and now lives in Arbovale, West Virginia with her husband Chuck. Heather is a wonderful flute player, and choir director for Arbovale UMC. You can hear Heather along with Chuck on Tuesday nights from 6 to 8pm as they host two hours of jazz on Something Different.
