Pocahontas County Magistrate Court report

Marlinton, W.Va. – Here is the Pocahontas County Magistrate Court Report for the period January 7 to 14. Charges are not made public until an initial appearance date is set. All those accused of crimes are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

On Jan. 4, Jamie Marcedes Moffitt, of Snowshoe, was charged with Malicious Wounding. Bond was set at $10,000.

On Jan. 4, Thomas Edward Greenberg, of Sykesville, Md., was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance. Bond was set at $1,000.

On Jan. 4, Austin J. Fackler, of Louisville, Ky., was charged with Public Intoxication; Possession of a Controlled Substance Less Than 15 Grams; Obstructing an Officer; Underage Consumption; and Fraudulently Altered Operator’s Identification. Bond was set at a total of $3,500 for all charges.

On Jan. 4, Cory Richardson, of Atlanta, Ga., was charged with Grand Larceny. Bond was set at $10,000.

On Jan. 7, Steven Kelley Bennett, of Marlinton, was charged with Domestic Assault, 2d Offense. Bond was set at $1,000.

On Jan. 10, Kaitlyn Warf, of Marlinton, was charged with Truancy. Bond was set at $5,000.

Heather is our Program Director and Traffic Manager. She started with Allegheny Mountain Radio as a volunteer deejay. She then joined the AMR staff in February of 2007. Heather grew up in the Richmond, Virginia, area and now lives in Arbovale, West Virginia with her husband Chuck. Heather is a wonderful flute player, and choir director for Arbovale UMC.
